Toxicology – An engrossing subject!

Workshop in San Diego, 26 January 2010

Toxicology and ecotoxicology have been chosen as the main themes for the next workshop to be held in San Diego.

These disciplines, which study the effects of toxic substances on the human body and the ecosystem respectively, are bringing together more and more manufacturers and researchers. There is an increasing interest in the subjects, due in particular to new European regulations that are leading to the development of innovative methods for evaluating toxicity.

The event, to be held on 26 January 2010 at the Salk Institute in San Diego, is being co-organized by Provence Promotion in partnership with Team Côte d’Azur and the American organisation French Bio Beach and with the support of Eurobiomed, the biocluster located in the South of France.

To highlight the opportunities for future development in our area, and the stakes involved, several experts from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region will be outlining their various approaches to the subject and presenting their ongoing research. A comprehensive programme that is sure to keep the audience engrossed!
