Having opened in November 2024, the hotel’s success is already evident!
easyHotel, which is part of the easy family of brands, has received the "Invest in Provence" label at MIPIM, (one of the largest international real estate exhibitions), for the recent opening of it’s Euromed Marseille hotel, the fourth in France for the hotel brand. The "Invest in Provence" label from Provence Promotion was presented by Martine Vassal, President of the Metropolis, Jean-Luc Chauvin, President of Provence Promotion and the Aix-Marseille-Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Laure-Agnès Caradec, Chair of the Board of Directors of Euroméditerranée, highlighting a recent and significant real estate investment in the Aix-Marseille area.
"The awarding of the 'Invest in Provence' labels is a tradition at Provence Promotion," explained Philippe Stéfanini, Managing Director of the economic attractiveness agency for Aix-Marseille-Provence and the Pays d'Arles, during the award ceremony. "Launched in 2013, this award is both a distinction and a moment of conviviality, showcasing to other investors the opportunities offered by the Aix-Marseille region," he added, expressing his satisfaction at having facilitated the establishment of this European hotel chain in Provence.
"We are honoured to receive the 'Invest in Provence' label, which highlights easyHotel's investment in Marseille and our contribution to the region's tourism industry. 2024 was our biggest year for committed investment in France, reinforcing our dedication to expanding across the country," stated Gwenaëlle Pouy, Chief Development Officer and Head of Real Estate, who sincerely thanked Provence Promotion, Euroméditerranée, and all partners for their support.
Provence Promotion identified the project in 2016 during a prospecting campaign on new hotel concepts and then supported the brand in selecting its location while facilitating various procedures with the authorities.
easyHotel selected the strategic location within the Euroméditerranée district, a key major urban renewal project in Marseille and the third-largest business district in France. A central location with excellent public transport links was essential for the project. The hotel benefits from proximity to the metro, bus, and tramway networks.
The collaboration with local developer Primosud was also critical in establishing this 111-room hotel, designed by the Marseille-based architectural firm Zakarian - Navelet Architectes. The hotel opened in October 2024. "The location of this project aligns with the mixed-use developments promoted by Euroméditerranée," stated Laure-Agnès Caradec, Chair of the Board of Directors of Euroméditerranée, whose ambition is to offer a diverse range of services in the sector, particularly in the hospitality industry.
