Two flagship events to discover the digital dynamic of Aix-Marseille
A delegation of start-ups and large groups will discover the Aix-Marseille-Provence’s digital ecosystem through two major events on September 23: The Grand Bain, organized by La French Tech Aix-Marseille-Provence Région Sud, and Medinsoft’s Grand Opening. These two complementary events (one taking place in the day and the other in the evening) will bring many players together through a variety of conferences, workshops and roundtables.
Provence Promotion is taking opportunity of the events to propose a guided tour to 21 companies that are planning to set up in the area or have already done so recently. The following day, discovery of the region will continue in the rIAlity lab and the Belle de Mai Media Center in partnership with the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolitan CCI and the City of Marseille.
Tech professionals from Aix-Marseille will come together in two emblematic places in Marseille on September 23.
During the day, they will be hosted at the Orange Vélodrome stadium for the Grand Bain event: a prospective dive into the positive economy in 2031.
It will be an opportunity for Provence Promotion to present the region to a delegation of digital companies.
Organized by La French Tech Aix Marseille Région Sud, the Grand Bain conferences will address four questions:
Workshops will allow participants to study topics related to recruitment, public innovation, European green funds or even the impact of Tech for Good.
To continue discussions into the evening, the Medinsoft association is hosting its Grand Opening at the Fort of Entrecasteaux, a historic site overlooking the Old Port. It is a magnificent setting to conclude a day of learning and making new contacts.
The ecosystem of experts brought together by these two events represents an excellent opportunity to showcase the advantages of Provence’s digital sector among companies that are new to the region or planning to set up there.
Eighteen start-ups, invited by Provence Promotion and the City of Marseille, will be guided through the two events to help them network with fellow professionals. The group will also be joined by three large groups which are currently considering the region as a potential location for their development.
The objective is to enable these companies, specialists in AI, smart cities and the IoT, and currently in a phase of growth, to identify key players in the area that will help them further develop their business. Each year, the digital sector represents 30-40% of the companies supported by Provence Promotion.
Following the two main events, the delegation will discover the rIAlity Lab, a 250-m2 lab in the Palais de la Bourse dedicated to artificial intelligence. This offer, developed with Microsoft, Sopra Steria and Aix-Marseille University, aims to support the AI projects of local businesses by facilitating their access to expertise and training.
The last stop for the delegation is the Belle de Mai Media Center. Once an industrial wasteland, for almost 20 years it has been a “flagship” of the cultural and creative industries sector. Well known for housing the studios of the Plus Belle la Vie TV series, the center also hosts many start-ups and various professionals from the cultural world. Located within the confines of the Euroméditerranée urban renewal initiative, it offers office space and support in the Marseille Innovation and Belle de Mai incubators.
