PGLC: a convention for the international petrochemical logistics community
19 June 2019 / Eco-industries, Energy

This forum takes place in Marseille at the Palais de la Bourse

The ambition of PGLC (Petrochemicals Global Logistics Convention) is to bring together producers, suppliers and traders in the petrochemical sector worldwide. This international forum, which takes place on June 20 & 21, 2019 in Marseille, is supported by several market players, including Tankbank Singapore as a partner organizer alongside UMF Marseille.

The event opens the debate on the evolution of the sector and innovations while offering a platform for start-ups through a "Startup Pitch Contest". On this occasion, Provence Promotion is awarding the "Invest in Provence" label to two start-ups supported in their projects to set up in the Aix-Marseille metropolis, SeaRoutes and Clear Logistics. Another label will be awarded to Ecoslops, an innovative cleantech company that processes petroleum residues and transforms them into new raw materials: fuels and light bitumen and is currently carrying out its project to build its unit on the La Mède platform in Provence.

This company, like many other players in the sector, works on the theme of the circular economy. The growth potential of industrial activities in the future depends on its ability to innovate. A group of experts will be meeting on Friday 21 June on the theme of sustainable development.
