French Paca Region Makes a Date with Mobile Industry at MWC

With Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg providing a keynote speech at the event’s opening conference, the 2014 Mobile World Congress is sure to produce a new group of aficionados. The event, being held in Barcelona from February 24 through 27, will bring together a vast number of well-known and lesser well-known exhibitors, stars of the telecoms and internet sectors and smaller companies with proven capacities for innovation. Provence Promotion will be there to promote the region’s digital economy on the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur booth in Hall 5, Aisle B, alongside a number of regional companies presenting their advanced  technologies.

The MWC – A key event for telecoms-sector professionals 

Samsung, Sony, Nokia, LG, HTC, Bouygues, SFR, Orange – all the major telecom manufacturers and operators are gearing up for this significant annual event. Each will be showing off its new products designed to meet the needs of business users always hungry for new mobile technologies to increase their productivity and expand their market. 

With more than 72,000 international visitors expected to attend, the stakes are high; decision-makers attend the MWC to catch up with the latest developments and market offerings in the smart phone, tablet, software and app fields.  For service providers (cloud, internet, software etc.), the visibility provided by the MWC is just as important. The exhibition is a unique opportunity for finding partners and new contracts.  

Provence Promotion in the France Pavilion’s PACA Region zone

The mainstays of the region’s ICT value chain such as Gemalto and Avenir Telecom have their own stands alongside other key French players within Ubifrance’s France Pavilion. SMEs and local development agencies from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region will be occupying a zone set aside for their use.

Thus, the Bouches-du-Rhône’s economic development agency Provence Promotion will be exhibiting at the MWC alongside the Euroméditerranée Urban Development Agency, the Secured Communicating Solutions (SCS) Competitive Cluster and Team Côte d’Azur. With this one-stop contact point, visitors will be able to gain a global overview of the region and the services it can provide to assist ICT companies wishing to set up in the PACA region. See you in Hall 5 in-between B41 and B54! Provence Mobile Valley companies such as Sunpartner Technologies and PMI Conseil (Pragma) will also be on the booth.
