Emerging Valley is setting up on the camp to promote African technology

Digital leaders and a hundred startups to discover

At the heart of "organic" innovations is Africa. Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, Morocco... Samir Abdelkrim has become a reference of these African startups. Their more inclusive solutions developed in a frugal approach inspired him first of all to write a book and then to create an event to promote them, Emerging Valley, organised for the past two years in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. Provence Promotion takes advantage of the arrival on the territory of these numerous startups to promote Provence's digital economy and detect those in an acceleration phase likely to develop in the metropolis.

Emerging Valley will take place this year on December 3, 4 & 5, 2019. After an opening evening organized in Marseille at the Regards de Provence Museum, it is on thecamp site in Aix-en-Provence that all the participants will meet.

This campus of the future at the foot of Sainte-Victoire is an ideal place. Its remarkable architecture and DNA geared towards the emergence of sustainable technological solutions are in perfect harmony with the event's philosophy. But before joining this base camp, some Tunisian startups will benefit from a presentation of the territory and the digital sector made by Provence Promotion and Euroméditerranée.

Bringing ecosystems closer together and accelerating digital projects

Emerging Valley is aimed at both African entrepreneurs and investors who are committed to technological innovation. These two major ecosystems will be brought together around a programme of conferences and workshops.

In partnership with ANIMA - The Next Society and Aix Marseille French Tech, Provence Promotion is co-organizing 2 highlights of the show:

• a speed dating incubators Europe - MENA - Africa in partnership with the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation and The Next Society, whose objective is to support innovation in the Mediterranean
• a thematic workshop open to the public entitled "Innovating in Provence: Meeting the Aix-Marseille innovation ecosystem" which will take place from 11am to 1pm on 5 December, studio room YCE.

The agency will also be available on an exhibition space to inform and promote its support services dedicated to start-ups with its "Start in Provence" program.
