All Hands on Deck for Marseilles’ Marine Industries!

Three days of events plus a "Discovery Day" will provide contact opportunities galore

Between November 27 and 29, Marseilles will be hosting three major events connected to the marine sector:

- the Seatrade Med convention, the world’s first entirely devoted to the Mediterranean cruise market;
- the Syrren business networking event, bringing together specialists in the fields of yacht construction, maintenance and repair;
- Top Cruise, a day-long event entirely devoted to commercial relations between tour operators and cruise companies with an exchange of views on sales techniques.
The synergy created by these events will provide an exceptional opportunity for all the industry professionals to promote their businesses to the 66 country representatives already signed up and to an expected 4000 visitors.

If the organizing of these three events simultaneously at the Parc Chanot increases the opportunities for making new contacts, generating business and attracting new investment, it is thanks to a huge team effort on the part of the Marseille Provence Cruise Club and a considerable number of institutional and economic players, both in the run-up to and after Marseilles’ selection as host of Seatrade Med’s 2012 edition.

The Seatrade Med, the flagship event and focal point over these three days, will feature an exhibition space housing more than 180 exhibitors, a program of conferences with varied themes and debating subjects as well as activities such as the special “travel agent” training course designed to introduce participants to a variety of different ports and destinations.

For its part, the Conseil Général des Bouches-du-Rhône, a partner of this internationally-recognized event, was keen to use the Syrren event to organize a “Discovery Day” to visit the main shipyard sites. Provence Promotion and the Var CCI’s development agency will be running the excursions on Thursday November 29 with a choice of 3 destinations.
