Aeronautics and Aerospace Business Development Mission to Brazil

Ubifrance’s Brazilian mission based in Sao Paulo is organizing a Franco-Brazilian aeronautics and aerospace event combining conference and B2B meetings at São José dos Campos on in partnership with the Franco-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce. Provence Promotion will be attending as part of the program of business meetings being organized from September 23-26, 2013.

Why Brazil?  

Brazil is one of the world’s great emerging economies. It also has the world’s 5th largest aeronautics industry. São José dos Campos is home to the Embraer Group, the world’s 3rd largest aircraft manufacturer and the leader in the regional aircraft sector, and to the Brazilian helicopter manufacturer Helibras, a subsidiary of Eurocopter and recently renamed Airbus Helicopters. Links with the region therefore have been in place for many years. Provence Promotion for its part has close contacts with a number of Brazilian companies. These have been established through its work with the Pégase Competitive cluster, which maintains close links with its Brazilian counterpart, Cecompi. Two Brazilian companies recently chose Provence as their set-up location and Provence Promotion is keen to maintain this momentum by actively pursuing the Brazilian lead. 

Encouraging both inward investment and partnerships 

Provence Promotion’s primary aim is to identify those Brazilian companies wishing to expand into Europe. In addition to the region’s geographic advantages, Provence Promotion is hoping to plant the seed for new investments with the presentation of the "Henri-Fabre” project to develop the aeronautics industry as a whole and of specific, high-growth sectors such as simulation, drones and green aviation. Brazil’s considerable ambitions in the aeronautics and aerospace fields should also generate new partnerships. Therefore, Provence Promotion will also be meeting business leaders to promote industrial and technological exchanges.
