The successful 1910 flight of Henri Fabre’s seaplane on the Etang de Berre wrote his name in the history books as the inventor of this new type of aircraft… A century later, a “Silicon Valley” dedicated to the aeronautical industry and bearing his name is taking shape to the east of the lake. Carried by Eurocopter and Daher, and overseen by the Pégase competitive cluster, the Henri Fabre project was officially launched on July 20, 2012. It is a bold and unifying symbol for France’s n°3 aeronautics region, as the project’s director Philippe Dufau explains.
