Home Sweet Home Workshop for Cleantechs

ICT’s, biotechnology and now cleantechs… Anything goes in terms of energies as far as Provence Promotion is concerned and to prove it, it is organizing another workshop in its flagship Home Sweet Home program, this time dedicated to renewable energies and being held on January 18 2012 in Palo Alto, California. The objective remains the same (but is being underlined for good measure!): make French expatriate project carriers in Silicon Valley aware of the advantages a return to Provence can offer. The workshop’s main event is a round table bringing together partners and businesses followed by a networking meeting, in between B2B meetings organized to foster contacts between the two regions’ companies.

The cleantech sector is a breeding ground for ideas and innovation. Companies in the sector are still young, but they are dynamic and generally in phase with their Californian cousins. Provence Promo-tion has the upstream role of raising awareness among a wide an audience as possible of the ad-vantages our region can offer in terms of resources and services. The main targets are French ex-patriates who have been working overseas for the past 10, 12, even 15 years and who may be thinking of returning to France to cash in on the know-how acquired. Using the business directories of networks such as the Franco-American Chamber of Commerce and Silicon French, Provence Promotion is able to pinpoint targets fulfilling the criteria prior to the workshops.
