Film France, the association that brings together 40 local film commissions and shooting assistance offices in France, is organizing a promotional evening for the French audiovisual industry in Los Angeles on October 27 next.
More than 500 decision-makers, professionals from the Los Angeles animation scene and transverse players such as agents and managers have been invited.
To showcase the cream of the French animation studios and the most sophisticated “Made in France” productions, the ultramodern SilverScreen Theater at the Pacific Design Center has been chosen as the venue.
This edition, the event’s second, is being sponsored by Provence Promotion and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Regional Council. After the keen interest aroused by the 2010 edition, the 2011 version aims to attract professionals at an even higher level. All the various resources will be leveraged to persuade them to come and film in France, in particular the financial incentives via the International Tax Credit, the availability of studios and technical equipment and the creative talent pool.
One of those representing this French talent will be the Marseilles-based studio Action Synthèse, which has gained recognition for its know-how and high-quality productions.
A networking cocktail will close the evening, with targeted meetings and a visit to a Hollywood major’s studios programmed for the following day. For Provence Promotion’s US representative, who is continually working to attract American productions to Provence, this is an event not to be missed.
