Biotechnology Workshop in San Diego

A convention on the discovery of new molecules

For the fourth edition of the event, Provence Promotion is organizing two seminars in San Diego, on October 10 and 11, in collaboration with its usual partners Team Côte d’Azur, Eurobiomed, French BioBeach and the law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
To present our region’s potential and dynamism, Provence Promotion has been joined by a number of ambassadors, including scientists and heads of leading-edge technology companies based in the PACA region.

Jean-Chrétien Noreel of  Pharmaxon, the company specialized in cell mobility, will be relating his experience.

Venometech’s representative  Pierre Escoubas  will be highlighting his teams’ expertise in working with venom compounds to develop new therapeutic molecules.

A presentation by Vincent Bonniol of Prenyl Bio also is scheduled. This company is credited with the discovery of the genetic mutation involved in the triggering of Progeria (Hutchinson-Gilford syndrome).

Lastly, Bernard Schoot of Galderma, a world leader in the field of dermatology products, will be outlining the latest discoveries in the field.

A round table will close the seminar. This year, the focus is on European opportunities in the field of innovation aimed at discovering new molecules.
