20th Laser World of Photonics in Munich

Germany’s Laser World of Photonics will be opening its doors from May 23 to 26, 2011 in Munich with more than 25,000 professional visitors expected in its 452,000 sq. ft. of exhibition hall. This year, the focus is on biophotonics and its applications in the field of health, a transversal aspect of the industry which brings together a multitude of skills and relies on highly sophisticated technologies.

The event will provide Provence Promotion with an opportunity to continue its business development efforts while following up on existing contacts, notably those made at the Photonica show in Moscow last April.

Meetings have been arranged between our overseas prospects and the Marseilles-based LP3 (lasers, plasmas and photonics processes) laboratory and Provence companies exhibiting at the show with a view to showcasing the know-how our region has to offer. This initiative is intended to put our local researchers and businesses in the spotlight and to further international collaboration.

Lastly, as at every edition, the POPsud / Optitec Competitive Cluster will have a stand in the France pavilion, providing vital support for any of our contacts wishing to set up in the region and find new partners.
