A Mocap Studio for the PACA Region

Currently the subject of a study by Lexis Numérique, in partnership with Provence Promotion, the PRIMI Prides cluster and Euroméditerranée, the creation of a motion capture studio in the PACA Region is eagerly anticipated industry-wide, from the video games sector to cinema and video creation and also by companies in the medical and mechanical engineering fields.

Indeed, the applications are numerous in the 3D field, with interest from sectors other than simply the audiovisual industry.

The innovative technology involves capturing the motion of a real subject (object, person, animal..) and applying it to a virtual model and represents an excellent investment to attract both French and overseas studios to the region.

The mocap studio would provide the facilities required for creating today’s complex, high-quality 3D productions.

At the moment, only a few studios in France and Europe have this equipment. Providing these facilities therefore would give the local industry a substantial competitive advantage both upstream and downstream.

Lastly, this new activity would generate considerable economic benefits across the département in terms of jobs, income etc.
