Solicited by Provence Promotion for the "Home Sweet Home" program, Jacques SOUQET of SUPERSONIC IMAGINE and Thierry VALET of IN SILICIO won 1st and 2nd prize at the 16th CREA13 Awards organized by the Conseil Général des Bouches-du-Rhône.
SUPERSONIC IMAGINE specializes in the development of a new generation of ultrasound that generates several thousand images per second (instead of several hundred). On this ultrasound platform, SUPERSONIC IMAGINE introduced transient elastography, which allows for the detection of subtle elasticity changes in tissue, prevention of potential anomalies, and reduction of biopsies. SUPERSONIC IMAGINE has a second line of development in the field of therapeutics: using ultrasonic energy to "burn" tumors located in organs.
