AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems North America, 2011

From August 16 to 19 next, the American AUVSI Foundation will be organizing an international forum entirely devoted to unmanned vehicles and guided systems being held in Washington DC. Whether ground, waterborne or airborne, the vehicles in question all require advanced robotics and leading-edge technologies with a strong IT input. Military drones for defense and security applications will be widely represented.

Provence Promotion has chosen to attend the event as part of an overseas mission organized by Ubifrance and will be sending a joint delegation with the Pégase cluster. The delegation’s two common objectives are to obtain a better insight into the drone market, in which the United States is a leader, and to present the region’s various areas of expertise in the field to a foreign audience.

A special newsletter covering the innovating enterprises and ongoing projects shaping the drone sector in Provence will be distributed and will serve as a support for Provence Promotion’s targeting of companies interested in setting up in Provence or in partnerships.

The document, which reflects the initiatives and know-how our region has to offer, will highlight the sustained efforts being made by a professional community that is constantly looking to add to its synergies.
